That kind of unrestricted devotion is what's dangerous today (I blame Apple). I believed Randy Pitchfords intentions regarding ACM. Maybe you haven't been bitten yet?
For what its worth I hope the PS4 does live up to expectations as I want both next gen systems.
Some of the claims from Sony regarding the PS3 were very imaginative. MS did the same with Milo Kinect that's why until I see it running in a shop and I can play it I don't pay much attention to company reps who are obviously paid to sell the thing.
Edit: Disagrees? wow I thought that was a fair comment smh.
Er really???
I think he is referring to the software/driver side of things rather than the hardware although a fixed spec does allow consoles to perform at a higher performance level than the equivalent windows pc, but this is true of all the consoles and is not unique to PS4.
With the exception of the HDD and the camera plus the possibilities of wireless accessories its a fixed footprint. An upgradeable APU would just make it a PC in a dress.
They can try.
I'm a patient chap happy to wait for a deal.
Popcorn at the ready.
Most knowledgeable gamers would never consider going in that shop in a million years.
Wait for it......
Doom, Doom its all Doom I tell ya!
Shame.
I'm using a little known Amiga emulator on the ipad called AmigaPad 2.0 its not legit release and was cobbled together by some guys who got hold of the source of the never released iAmiga and is now lurking in the dark side of Cydia.
Works like a charm for anything kick 1.3 compatible and I use it with a bluetooth game pad.
@Devwan
"Because they're gamers and this year there hasn't nearly been the concentration or reassurances regarding games."
Seriously???
If 2 new next gen consoles announced, massive game line ups at E3 from Sony/MS, great titles for existing platforms such as Last of Us, GT6, BF4, CODG are not enough to reassure gamers then I don't know what is. Not to mention the new areas of innovation such as Occulus, Ouya and Project...
And I'd love to see the rift supported on all next gen platforms. It would be amazing in a driving sim for cockpit view.
I agree. There's nothing wrong with the idea. See my comments further up. Potentially a good solution for a networked video conferencing kit with windows 8 overlays at a low price.
$200 or $500 is small beans to all but the smallest businesses. Any firm that would require high quality vid conferencing wouldn't bat an eyelid at that price. Not an issue.
Hmmm. Yes I agree it wasn't advertised as for business but I do recall Sony providing select customers on special request with large volumes of PS3 fats configured with the Linux partition for that use ( I will look for the link).

As for MS looking to provide the One to small business I really don't see what your issue is. Even ...
My wife and I started a free trial of Lovefilm and then the next week we hear the news about games.
Got a couple of Blu rays sent through post which is a good service. Streaming content isn't that hot unless you like 50's B movies or straight to DVD stuff.
The games part was its one redeeming feature.
We won't be keeping it beyond the trial. Netflix free trial next :)
I guess the kinect 1 was used for a lot of non gaming applications so I don't see why this can't be true of the new equipment.
For balance its no different to PS3s being hooked together for low end budget super computation.
@Blankolf.
No need to get grouchy. I wasn't passing comment or opinion on the merits of either companies policies towards DRM and im not advocating either approach, It was a simple question regarding the mechanics of the feature that Sony are going to offer vs what I can do already. I'm interested to know!!
Is it possible to have such discussion without being perceived/labbelled as pro/anti company x?
And I thought Deaths sarcasm was...
That Mclaren sounds fantastic.
Us driving fans are going to be so spoilt. GT6, Project CARS, Assetto Corsa and Forza 5 to start.
Wow what a great addition to the game. I've always fancied a run up the hill past the wall.
To have this track and for it to be realistic you would need some old race cars. It wouldn't be any good in a Nissan or a Honda which GT seems to give you 200 of.
European vintage race cars please Polyphony.
I'm a firm fan of Forza 4 over GT5 but the excellent GT Academy demo and these screens are really making GT6 most promising.
...
Lol. I thought so.
Can I have a large popcorn half and half please ;)
If it does overheat he's gonna look like an ass.
I'm sure it will be fine. Sony HW is very good as my Bravia,PS3 and 5.1 will attest.
